I really love how this fic turned out. I think you did a lovely job of making the shows fit together and Emily and Kate's personalities just click. The whole story just works so perfectly and I love that you pay so much attention to building their relationship before they get together and how once that happens, everything isn't automatically happiness and light. You have a great handle on the characters.

I liked it so much I wrote you a comment fic. I hope you like it:

Just two more clicks, a couple of the right key strokes, and Garcia was in. The White House mainframe was stretched out before her, perfect little icons twinkled on her screen. Point and click and she could know anything she wanted. Of course, some files were so highly classified that they shook even her bravery. They weren't what she was after though, and she carefully skirted around them. She was after the folder labeled "Personnel", specifically one Kate Harper.

She opened it and... It was empty. Well, jinkies, that was odd. Emily was dating someone without a personnel file? She switched over to the Navy's database. That's when things started to come together. Oh, Kate's service record was complete enough, but Garcia had seen enough government coverups to know that at least part of the file was completely fake. Well, she was working for the NSA now. Garcia poked around there long enough to know that the good stuff was somewhere else. Finding that somewhere else led her straight to the CIA.

"Whoa boy," she muttered to herself. For some reason, she didn't think that there were going to be any welcome mates here. It was with a bit of trepidation that she placed her hands back on the keys of her keyboard.

In Washington, D.C. proper, another woman stared at the monitor of her computer, following the trail of a hacker as she jumped between government databases. She could end the hacker's quest with the press of button, but she was intrigued. Why would someone at the FBI be interested in Kate Harper? The hacker was at the CIA's figurative doorstep. She had to stop her. She pressed the button and all over the White House computer monitors flashed off and then back on.

"Margaret!" Cj's voice rung through the corridors, "If you took down the mainframe forwarding LOLcats again, I swear to God..."
